The first of two new signings for the club in the winter and whilst many who don't know him might well shake their head in disbelief at the thought of someone of his age putting his backside on the saddle of a highly-tuned 500cc speedway bike with no brakes and hurtling around speedway tracks, those within the sport know that "The Fryer" might well be one of our major trump cards in 2008. A really classy performer who we here at Smallbrook are extremely confident will rack up big points scores both at home and away, It's still somewhat difficult to believe though that his first competitive rides took place nearly a quarter of a century ago in 1984 at Newcastle!
